NEW DELHI: In what seems to be a bid to gain influence on mobile Web, Internet search giant Google announced last week on its official blog that it is testing a new mobile device.
The handset is being tested by Google’s 20,000 employees, who reportedly received the device just before the weekend.
Media reports have said that Google will sell an unlocked version of the touch screen phone, allowing consumers to pick a carrier of their choice to provide wireless service.
Called Nexus One, the phone will be manufactured by Taiwan’s HTC Corp. A picture of an experimental Android handset was posted online by Twitter user Cory O’Brien.
Head over to the gossip mill for all that Google’s Nexus One phone may offer.
