Word of mouth are still the most trusted way to get customers. There are ways to swap links, articles and ads. You can reciprocate with your website, blog, newsletter, and all the social sites! You just have to think outside the box and collaborate with relevant companies.
Great point about word of mouth, Leah. I’ve definitely used my mouth as both a promoter and a detractor over the years.
“Word of web” what makes the social web so powerful? People simply don’t trust advertising, but we do trust what our peers say.
And I think that your point about reciprocal marketing is very important – and will become increasingly so as the web continues to race forward.
